Our dedicated team at StoneRiver collaborated with United Way Hands On for an exceptional volunteer event, transforming the outdoor learning classroom in the City of Midfield into a vibrant oasis of greenery and education. Throughout the day, we engaged in a rewarding mission by planting various fruit trees that will provide beauty and delicious fruits for years to come. We also sowed a diverse array of fresh, nutritious vegetables, which will not only enhance the environment but also educate local youth about sustainable agriculture and healthy eating.

The atmosphere was electric, filled with enthusiasm, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to fostering community growth. Together, we created a lush and inviting space that promises to spark curiosity and inspire future generations of learners.

As the volunteer center for United Way of Central Alabama, United Way Hands On connects dedicated volunteers with partner agencies and community organizations, offering a wide range of flexible opportunities for individuals to positively impact our neighborhood and make meaningful contributions.
